Craft therapy...

Above is a quick MDS card I made.   I used French Foliage and Friends 24-7 SU! stamp sets on the digital card.   Since I didn't have my craft space in order, I pulled out the laptop and created some things for the fun sketch & color challenges over at INKspirations 4U with My Digital Studio before trying my hand at the "real" thing.

Well, been awhile since I posted... it's been a difficult month, but I've really been uplifted by all the wonderful cards and messages that friends and family have shared with me in the past couple of weeks.  My father passed away suddenly a couple weeks ago.  If it wasn't for the love of family and friends to get me through these times, I don't know what I'd do.  One thing I did learn though, is to not take sending someone a card for granted- they really do mean a lot during difficult times.  So papercrafters, make something today to send to someone and know you are doing your part to make our world a better place.

Below is just a fun card I made early in September as a "custom card" requested by a friend of mine.  The birthday girl is a big Detroit Tigers fan, so I used the power of the internet to get just the right images to print then paste onto the card.

Now I'm ready for post-season baseball, how about you? Enjoy a nice weekend everyone!

The good news - the title of my post has NOTHING to do with the economy.  Enough of that can be  found everywhere else in the news, etc...  Instead, it just seemed the best word to describe how I approached the Stampin' Queen's Sketch Challenge for this week...

Here is the SQSC 2 Sketch:

One thing is for sure, I'm not in short supply of small scraps, and I'm short on time this weekend (enjoying beautiful weather outside for this holiday weekend!).  I love the little jewelry tag punch so it just seemed to be calling my name when I saw the tag in the sketch anyway, so why not make a very small card that fits that little punch?

I used Vintage Vogue stamp set for the floral flourish in the circle and on part of the little butterfly that I made using the Beautiful Wings embosslit die.  The DSP is from Paisley Petals.

The photo above just gives you a sense of scale for this card, which is about 2 1/2 to 3 inches square.
Enjoy your holiday everyone!  See you next week.
