Craft therapy...

Above is a quick MDS card I made.   I used French Foliage and Friends 24-7 SU! stamp sets on the digital card.   Since I didn't have my craft space in order, I pulled out the laptop and created some things for the fun sketch & color challenges over at INKspirations 4U with My Digital Studio before trying my hand at the "real" thing.

Well, been awhile since I posted... it's been a difficult month, but I've really been uplifted by all the wonderful cards and messages that friends and family have shared with me in the past couple of weeks.  My father passed away suddenly a couple weeks ago.  If it wasn't for the love of family and friends to get me through these times, I don't know what I'd do.  One thing I did learn though, is to not take sending someone a card for granted- they really do mean a lot during difficult times.  So papercrafters, make something today to send to someone and know you are doing your part to make our world a better place.

Below is just a fun card I made early in September as a "custom card" requested by a friend of mine.  The birthday girl is a big Detroit Tigers fan, so I used the power of the internet to get just the right images to print then paste onto the card.

Now I'm ready for post-season baseball, how about you? Enjoy a nice weekend everyone!

  1. Hi Kathy,
Glad to see a MDS card by you - and it is so beautiful and a great template too. Again, sorry for your loss. Hugs, Mary

  2. Katherine, I don't mean to bother you on this blog but I really need to get in touch with you. I wrote an email in addition to posting on the Taurus thread. There is an opening on the Adventurer team! As you know you are the first on the list. Please email me back or simply post on either thread (Adventurer or Taurus). I know this is such a different time for you with the passing of your Father. Perhaps a team challenge is exactly what you need???
    Your friend,
    Kathy
